ABOUT ME

My name is Magali Gomez. I’ve been a professional photographer for 12 years, but my fascination with capturing movements in film started as a teenager, when I became aware of the influence that light has on subjects, and its transformative power.

During my career, I have had the privilege of taking photos for models, executives and well known influencers. Beyond working with these professionals I have immersed myself into other categories like photographing engagement proposals, corporate speakers, travel & hospitality, real estate agencies and lately, I have worked with non profit organizations leading a Professional Headshot Initiative, that connects individuals and organizations through the power of authentic headshot photography — empowering professionals to show up as their best-selves, while helping brands give back with purpose.

Something that I also enjoy is capturing sunsets, the Manhattan skyline, and some artists performing, whether on the streets, a private event or in a theater.

Beyond my professional experience, I have a BA in Communications from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and a MS in Advertising Marketing from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

I am originally from Mexico City and I am now based in New York City. My family and I came to Manhattan on the pandemic era at the beggining of 2020.
